Logical Thinking

The English Farm | Logical Thinking course

This course will look at logical reasoning, with each lesson focusing on one argument style.

First you will see an interesting logical mistake, then you can practice correcting mistakes, and finally you will make strong arguments yourself. This is useful for communication at every level, from explaining why you like a certain restaurant to giving a strong answer in a meeting or a speaking test.

In the G.B.C. test, logical thinking plays an important role as you quickly and spontaneously use reasoning and arguments to answer each of the test questions.

Understanding arguments is even more important in the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test). Every part of the test has a component of critical reasoning, analysis of an argument, or problem-solving. If you are considering taking the GMAT in the future, this course is a good place to start.

Additionally, in meetings, Q&As at presentations, or even when you are having a chat, using clear logic or pointing out problems in other people’s logic will add impact to your English.

Depending on your level, your previous understanding of logical thinking, and your learning style, this course can be finished quickly or very slowly.

There is no textbook for this course. All lessons are online and free.
